Are you looking for a boutique venue to hire in private surroundings? We regularly host family and group gatherings, supper clubs, retreats, seminars, conferences, training days and foodie events. We have also recently added hens and weddings to to our offerings!

Rest and relax your tensions away in our lodge hall. An oak floored space for gatherings, business meetings, classes and a can also be used as a separate dining room. Gather with friends, family and colleagues at unique weddings, birthday parties, dining experiences, classes, conferences and business meetings. Warm yourself on a traditional wood burning stove. Over 21 enormous beanbags are available should you just wish to chill.
Connect with nature. Restored from the original woodshed with locally sourced larch, the chalet is situated under the beech trees. With handcrafted Irish oak tables sourced from Lisnavagh house and restored church pews, the chalet itself to a truly unique dining experience or a gathering. The coffee proper as is the machine, and is roasted locally will satisfy your discerning coffee drinkers palette.
Fancy yourself as a Masterchef? Self-catering or with our award-winning house chef, the kitchen is available to prepare mouth-watering meals. Our open kitchen is fully stocked to cater for large dining events. The perfect evening requires many elements: a beautiful setting, delicious food, good people and a soundtrack with style.
Situated in an acre surrounded by woodlands, giant oak, ash, beech, birch and spruce provide homes for birds, deer and countless species, a wood-fired hot tub sits under the canopy of oak to soak away your worries. For those who like a ramble, the gateway to the largest sugar loaf opens feet from the back garden through a spruce forest. On the way see the ruins of a famine cottage and our spring water river. For more experienced walkers, the base of Lugnaquilla is a few minutes away. Along with traditionally built log cabins, we have a Victorian kitchen greenhouse and a permaculture garden to supply food for our kitchens. An apple espaliered walkway brings you toward a willow arch leading to a wooden mountain view platform.
Our all-weather outdoor kitchen can be used to BBQ your night away. Our chefs can be hired for you to run a pizza party for your group or an alfresco bottomless BBQ party.
Immersed in nature our forest garden leads you to miles of mountains and woodlands. Great for a short stroll or a full week of hiking, the Wicklow mountains litterally in our back garden.

Our Wicklow lodge has 7 garden cabins to suit your group’s individual needs. Set in the beautiful acre of gardens, you can enjoy the peace and quiet surrounded by stunning nature. Each room has been designed individually with handmade furniture, alpaca wool blankets, fluffy robes, cotton linen, and featherbedding. Pocket sprung and memory foam mattresses nurture your perfect night’s sleep.
Enjoy your best nights sleep. Available as a twin or super king, each ensuite boutique bedroom has been designed with great care and attention to detail. All furniture has been designed by the proprietor and made by craftspeople using locally sourced Irish timber. Treat yourself to a rainfall shower sourced directly from mountain spring water. Sleep in luxurious comfort with duvets filled with the finest duck feather and down and covered with 100% cotton.
Twin & Mezzanine
Our deluxe garden cabins are perfect for your family and friends. Sleeping four in pure comfort two single beds and 2 mezzanines, they are crafted by the owners aged spalted beech. Each of the ensuite cabins has cotton linen with individual wool curtains and reading lights. All rooms are ensuite with Italian ceramic tiles, rain head showers, and spalted beech shelving. Towells and fluffy robes make your stay extra special.

If you are hiring the venue for the weekend and would like your meals catered during your stay, please contact us for our menus and price list.
If you would like to enjoy a meal or have some of your meals catered, chose from 2/3/4 course or buffet meal prepared by our critically acclaimed chef:
- Sit down meal from €40 per head
- Buffet from €35 per head (minimum 10 people)
- Cooking demonstration with our chef (3 hours) followed by lunch.
Eat the delicious food you have made – €60 per head (min 10 people).
Menus can be tailored to your requirements.

- Holistic massage (including deep tissue and sports massage therapy)
- Facials (using PHYT’s 100% organic and natural products)
- Indian Head Massage
Prices for the above – €65 per person (based on more than 3 booking)
We endeavour to make all our guests stay as easy and carefree as possible so early or late check-in may be arranged by request. Gourmet self-catering breakfast packs are available each morning from our kitchen. Cereal, bread, preserves, milk, yogurt & fruit bowl along with all day tea and locally roasted coffee and a late brunch can be arranged by request.

Terms & Conditions
A 30% booking fee is required to hold the room followed by full payment up to 48 hours before your stay with us.
You can make a cancellation up to 48 hours prior to 3pm on your check-in date at the hotel or guesthouse.When your cancellation has been confirmed you will receive an email from us and you are entitled to a full refund of your booking deposit.
If a cancellation is made within the 24 hours of your arrival, the deposit will not be refunded.
If cancellation is not received by the required date a charge one night’s accommodation is taken from your credit card.In the case of a no show, your credit card will be charged for one night’s accommodation.
If you book “non refundable” rate, then we are unable to refund your booking.
Your credit card details will be held on the system to cover any damage to the property during your stay with us.
General terms and conditions
All rates quoted are subject to availability and alteration. All special offers quoted are limited and subject to availability and may be subject to a minimum night stay.
While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information, the elbowroom escape does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information and descriptions of listed hotels and products.
All guests will be asked for identification on arrival – passport or driving licence – you cannot be checked in without your identification
We welcome under 18’s if they are accompanied by an adult or responsible guardian and stay in a room exclusively for their party.
Venue Hire Terms and Conditions:
30% booking deposit is required to hold the dates (based on 10 people for the number of days booked) – This is non refundable if you cancel within 90 days of your hire start date.
Further 20% required 90 days before the start date
Full Balance required 60 days before event.
A refundable security deposit of €800 will also be required to cover any damage/breakages that may occur during your stay. This amount will be returned to you within 48 hours of your departure.
Hirer is responsible to pay cancellation fees as follows:
Cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival 100 percent of full hire fee is due to The elbowroom escape
Cancel less than 60 days prior to arrival booking your 50% deposit will not be refunded.
Cancel less than 90 days prior to arrival booking your 30% deposit will not be refunded.
A €100 administration and handling fee will apply if cancelled before 90 days.
The cancellation policy applies to all reasons for cancellation.
The elbowroom escape is not responsible for any forces of nature that may cause the hirer to cancel.
If for any reason The elbowroom escape has to cancel a booking, a full refund will be given.
Requirements of Hire:
If venue is being rented in order to teach yoga or similar activity, must supply the elbowroom escape with appropriate insurance paperwork to show they are covered to teach and work with the public (teachers insurance). Please send this in within 2 weeks of confirming your booking to firstname.lastname@example.org
