Chill Out Space
Our relaxation and chillout room has 21 large luxury bean bags to sink into. Music-loving guests also have access to our Sonos surround sound system to play their chill-out tunes. With acres of Wicklow woodland as our wood store, we have traditional wood stove burning brightly to keep you warm and cosy throughout your stay.
Larch Dining Cabin
Restored from the original woodshed with locally sourced larch, the dining cabin is situated under the beech trees. With handcrafted Irish oak tables and restored church pews, the cabin lends itself to a truly unique dining experience. An organic continental breakfast awaits guest each morning along with all day tea and locally roasted coffee.
Available as twin or double, each boutique bedroom has been designed with great care and attention to detail. All furniture has been designed by the proprietor and made by craftspeople using locally sourced Irish timber. Enjoy a rainfall shower sourced directly from mountain spring water. Sleep in luxurious comfort with duvets filled with the finest duck feather and down and covered with 100% cotton. This is sure to provide guests with the ultimate night’s sleep.
Ensuite Group Rooms
Our group rooms accommodate 4 with a 2 single beds and 2 mezzanine beds. The beds were made by local craftspeople using aged spalted beech. Crafted from spalted beech each bed affords privacy with individual linen curtains and reading lights. All rooms are ensuite with Italian ceramic tiles, rain head showers and spalted beech shelving. Full linen is provided.
Set at the foothills in The Glen of Imaal, The elbowroom escape is surrounded by woodland. Ash, Oak and Spruce forests encompass our lodge with mountain walks accessible from the back garden. View the Sugar Loaf from our outdoor deck, and enjoy walks from short strolls to mountain climbs.
For the truly al fresco experience, cook for your team on our outdoor BBQ surrounded by our permaculture gardens and kitchen garden. With a Victorian greenhouse, keyhole beds and terraced vegetable beds, your team will enjoy the true value of the outdoors.
Terms & Conditions
A 30% booking fee is required to hold the room followed by full payment up to 48 hours before your stay with us.
You can make a cancellation up to 48 hours prior to 3pm on your check-in date at the hotel or guesthouse.When your cancellation has been confirmed you will receive an email from us and you are entitled to a full refund of your booking deposit.
If a cancellation is made within the 24 hours of your arrival, the deposit will not be refunded.
If cancellation is not received by the required date a charge one night’s accommodation is taken from your credit card.In the case of a no show, your credit card will be charged for one night’s accommodation.
If you book “non refundable” rate, then we are unable to refund your booking.
Your credit card details will be held on the system to cover any damage to the property during your stay with us.
General terms and conditions
All rates quoted are subject to availability and alteration. All special offers quoted are limited and subject to availability and may be subject to a minimum night stay.
While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all information, the elbowroom escape does not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information and descriptions of listed hotels and products.
All guests will be asked for identification on arrival – passport or driving licence – you cannot be checked in without your identification
We welcome under 18’s if they are accompanied by an adult or responsible guardian and stay in a room exclusively for their party.
Venue Hire Terms and Conditions:
30% booking deposit is required to hold the dates (based on 10 people for the number of days booked) – This is non refundable if you cancel within 90 days of your hire start date.
Further 20% required 90 days before the start date
Full Balance required 60 days before event.
A refundable security deposit of €800 will also be required to cover any damage/breakages that may occur during your stay. This amount will be returned to you within 48 hours of your departure.
Hirer is responsible to pay cancellation fees as follows:
Cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival 100 percent of full hire fee is due to The elbowroom escape
Cancel less than 60 days prior to arrival booking your 50% deposit will not be refunded.
Cancel less than 90 days prior to arrival booking your 30% deposit will not be refunded.
A €100 administration and handling fee will apply if cancelled before 90 days.
The cancellation policy applies to all reasons for cancellation.
The elbowroom escape is not responsible for any forces of nature that may cause the hirer to cancel.
If for any reason The elbowroom escape has to cancel a booking, a full refund will be given.
Requirements of Hire:
If venue is being rented in order to teach yoga or similar activity, must supply the elbowroom escape with appropriate insurance paperwork to show they are covered to teach and work with the public (teachers insurance). Please send this in within 2 weeks of confirming your booking to firstname.lastname@example.org
